CIP151A Composite is one of our most commonly used CIP materials due to its ability to provide excellent performance in a wide range of applications and environments. CIP151A is manufactured with 100% polyester material (textile and resin) with the solid lubrication additives PTFE and molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) evenly dispersed throughout the resin. Enhancement A is added, increasing the overall strength and reduce friction and wear.

 

CIP151A can be used in wet and/or dry situations offering excellent strengths; great option for low friction and wear rate.

• Wear Pads Inside Pipehandling Assembly

• High edge and shock load capabilities

• Negligible water swell

• Anisotropic Properties - Will Vary When Comparing Values Normal or Parallel to Laminate

• Compressive Strength, Breaking – ASTM D695 - Normal to Laminate = 50,000 PSI

• Compressive Strength, Breaking – ASTM D695 - Parallel to Laminate = 13,500 PSI

• CLTE Will Also Vary Based on Laminate Orientation

 

Limitations

• Not Intended for High Speed Bearing Applications, Ideal for High Load & Slow Rotating Speed
