DELRIN® 527UV

Delrin® 527UV BK701 is a black homo-polymer acetal that has been enhanced with

UV stabilizers. 527UV is a surface lubricated resin with UV stabilizer. It offers balanced

properties and is resistant to UV light. Delrin® 527UV BK701 was developed by

DuPont to replace Delrin® 507, this material is particularly suited to automotive and

other outdoor applications. It exhibits improvements in UV aging characteristics and thermal stability. This Delrin® 527UV version has been used extensively for several years in injection molding applications, and will meet all the same ASTM and automotive specifications as the old Delrin® 507 grade.

DELRIN® 527UV BK is typically used for applications exposed to the outdoors in such industries as electronics, communications, transportation, construction and marine. One common application for this material is an "antenna stay turnbuckle" for commercial antenna arrays.
