Cast Nylon MD is also used as a wear pad. Using cast nylon’s excellent load-bearing capability and wear resistance, Nylon MD wear pads can be found in the telescoping booms of lift trucks. Lubricants can be embedded into Cast Nylon MD which reduces the frictional resistance to sliding and improves the wear resistance of the Cast Nylon MD wear pads. As a result, a boom extends and retracts more efficiently and requires less routine maintenance.
