UHMW-PE (Ultra High Molecular Weight) rod is ideal for bushings & and bearings due to its low coefficient of friction, excellent abrasion resistance, and high impact strength. UHMW-PE rod is FDA compliant it is used in various food and beverage applications such as rollers, sprockets, wheels, and rollers. UHMW-PE will not crack or break and has a broad temperature range (-450° to + 180° F). UHMW-PE rod is easy to machine and reduces noise when replacing steel. UHMW-PE rod applications can be used underwater, in dry, and in chemical applications.
